Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT)

OMT is a hands-on treatment that enhances the body’s natural healing/wellness process. I use fascial release, muscle energy, cranial, or other hands-on manipulation of the muscles, joints, and other tissues improve mobility, reduce pain, coughing and swelling. The purpose of OMT is to enhance overall health by restoring balance and function to the body’s musculoskeletal system, thereby improving the body’s ability to self-heal.

Prolotherapy is an injection of a small amount of an irritant to jumpstart your body’s natural healing abilities. We usually choose a singular joint, ligament, or as many as 4 trigger points per session.

Prolotherapy, short for proliferative therapy, is an injection-based treatment used to relieve pain and promote healing in joints, ligaments, and tendons. The treatment involves injecting a solution, containing a natural irritant (dextrose/water) with pain medication, into the affected area. The response is not guaranteed or consistent.

The regenerative process:

1. Solution is injected into the area where there is damage or pain
2. The injection induces an inflammatory response
3. The body’s healing mechanisms are stimulated
4. Over time there is growth of healthy tissue
