Infrared Sauna
Where We Use Infrared Sauna
Infrared (IR) sauna therapy, used several times a week (or even daily), has been well studied for its ability to lower blood pressure, improve circulation, and reduce heart-related risks—including symptoms of heart failure.
Research also shows that IR sauna use can ease arthritis pain (both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), improve joint flexibility, and lower inflammation in the body.
Emerging studies suggest additional benefits such as reduced overall inflammation, better insulin sensitivity, improved recovery after exercise, and enhanced relaxation and sleep quality.
If prescriber recommends detox for certain chemicals and pesticides, IR sauna is used with a binder to help aid this process.
What to Expect
During your session, feel free to come and go as you like. Stay well-hydrated—reverse osmosis water is in the kitchenette.
Your preheated bathrobe and washcloths are ready for you. Adjust the sauna temperature and time to your comfort—sweat, relax, and enjoy! Lights and a radio are available for your ambiance.
When finished, please turn off the sauna and hang your bathrobe and washcloth—I’ll handle the cleanup.
Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy, short for proliferative therapy, is an injection-based treatment used to relieve pain and promote healing in joints, ligaments, and tendons. The treatment involves injecting a solution, containing a natural irritant (dextrose/water) with pain medication, into the affected area. The response is not guaranteed or consistent.
The regenerative process:
- Solution is injected into the area where there is damage or pain
- The injection induces an inflammatory response
- The body’s healing mechanisms are stimulated
- Over time there is growth of healthy tissue
